Lone wolf mentality is something I adopted after my mother died when I was 13. It is not something you choose...it is how you are moulded. In saying that, I dont rely on one single soul for my survival...I rely on God. This idea of "Male bonding" and social support to help soothe your soul are bullshit. Where are your "friends" when you are on your own? In "need" of social support when faced with lifes adversities like a lost puppy. If we die, then we die alone...in the end everyone does. The "pack" will just go on living without you anyway...huddled up in their little comfort zone. Lone wolves are free spirited and NEVER run to anyone for support. We dont hang our burden on anybody but ourselves.. and for all the right reasons...even if you think they are wrong.

Incredibly tough man. And an incredible story. What I took from it is there will be people to support you even when you’ve given up on yourself. And having the courage to speak up when times are tough and resiliency to bounce back. Having balance of being ok with making mistakes to learn from and ok to be a little hard on yourself when you’re screwing up.

What saddens me more is him telling this story and people who know him and know his passion for firearm and him just telling this story puts a stigma around him. And it couldn’t be further from the truth. But politicians and Democrats have made gun owners out to be bad people and how no one should own them and anyone with depression shouldn’t either. Just because somebody’s having a hard time with depression or even PTSD doesn’t mean they’re gonna grab their stuff and go and hurt people. It takes a special kind of crazy to do that. But Democrat politicians have blurred that line so much that I’m sure this guy was even afraid to say anything because I think he’s owns a gun store and could lose a passion for just speaking out! This is what democrat politicians have done to citizens and now veterans. They just tried passing a bill that would take veterans second amendment rights away from veterans and put them in the NICS system.
